When the chill sets in or a cold takes hold, the Hot Toddy comes to the rescue. This age-old cocktail has a whiskey base to warm your body, honey and lemon to soothe your throat, and an aroma that opens up your sinuses. The Hot Toddy isn't just a comfort drink. It's a time-tested recipe that will have you feeling better in no time.
Hot Toddy Ingredients
- 2 oz Whiskey (Bourbon or Rye)
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Black Tea Bag
- Hot Water
- Lemon Wheel and Cinnamon Stick for garnish
How To Make a Hot Toddy
- Boil water and pour into a heatproof glass or mug.
- Add tea bag to the glass and steep for three minutes. Remove tea bag and discard.
- Stir in honey until dissolved.
- Pour in whiskey and fresh lemon juice, then stir gently.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and a cinnamon stick.
