Rare Breed is Wild Turkey's only barrel-strength rye. It has a similar flavor profile to the 101 rye but with more kick because of the elevated proof. It's a Kentucky-style rye, but don't be fooled by the corn content of the mashbill. This is a bold whiskey that emphasizes rye spice.

Best Barrel Proof Rye, Change My Mind

IYKYN WIld Turkey makes some of the best juice out there but this expression still doesn't seem to get it's propers. This is the best barrel proof rye you can find that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. An age statement would be nice, but WT usually uses older whiskey blends than most of the competition and you can taste the diff.
