Sorel Liqueur by Jack From Brooklyn is an artisanal hibiscus liqueur based on the traditional West Indian drink served in Jamaican restaurants. It's made by blending Moroccan hibiscus, Brazilian clove, Indonesian cassia and Nigerian ginger. This modern spin on Sorel is the brainchild of Jackie Summers, the first black person granted a distiller's license since Prohibition.

At 30 proof (15% ABV), Sorel is an easy sipper. Pour Sorel over the rocks or mix it in a cocktail, and you'll be transported back to your last Caribbean vacation faster than you can say, jerk chicken.

Vacation in a glass

My granni used to make sorel for me when I went to Trelawny as a kid. It was a special treat. This reminds me of that but with a kick. The liquor is lite tho. You can't really taste it. You get a lot of hibiscus and ginger and it's not too sweet.
