Part of Michter’s limited-edition Legacy Series, Shenk’s Homestead Distillery Sour Mash Whiskey honors the legacy of John Shenk, who in 1753 founded the distillery that would later become Michter’s. Shenk’s 2024 release primarily uses rye whiskey along with other whiskies featuring less typical grains which have been aged in oak barrels sourced from the Vosges region of France. According to their website it is "An herbaceous whiskey to savor complimented by highlights of spice, fruit, and nougat."

Whiskey is delicious.

Shenks 2024

One of the best!! Shenks added 8% caramel malt to the mashbill this year which makes this a little more sweet and full bodied. One of my favorite from Michter's!
