Ron Del Barrilito is produced at Hacienda Santa Ana, a family-run distillery tucked away in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The 3-Star is their original recipe, dating back to 1880 and the family's first distiller, Pedro Fernández. It's a blend of additive-free rums aged 6 - 10 years in white-oak Oloroso barrels. It leans toward the Cuban-style: sweet with major notes of tobacco and smoke. A local favorite in PR, it’s great for sipping or taking a cocktail to the next level.

Distiller's Notes Medium body with a natural dark reddish color. Aromas of almonds, vanilla, raisins, and bananas with a strong woody backbone. Very smooth and fruity sweetness with a lingering smoky finish.

A puerto rican classic

The 3 Star is Barrilito's flagship bottle. It's not one of those overly sweet and syrupy rums and has undertones of tobacco and rawhide on the nose. Sounds odd but it's a good balance. It sips easy on the rocks and makes rich, flavorful cocktails. This is my go-to for Dark and Stormys. For awhile, you could only get it at the airports in PR. Thank you, TSR for keeping it in stock for all us Boricuas who don't get home as much as we should.
