Our third single barrel collaboration with O.K.I. is an experimental 100% rye whiskey. It was distilled by MGP, who made the Indiana-style rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley) famous. It comes from a secret lot of 20 barrels, offered exclusively to O.K.I. We were the first to select, so we know we picked the best one.

We call this one, "The Sandman" for two reasons: 1) It's the stuff dreams are made of, thanks to its unique flavor profile and viscous mouthfeel. 2) Our top opp in northern Kentucky, Brian Sand, supervised this selection. A true Friend of the Program, Mr. Sand(man) previously helped us select dreamy single barrels from New Riff, O.K.I., and Bulleit.

Not Your Average Rye

Always feeling O.K.I. though not usually a rye guy but this one hits different. Lots of fruit notes, apple pie, stone fruits, etc. It isn't minty, pickly or spicey like you usually expect from a 100% rye mashbill and that is perfect to me. Need to pick up a spare.
