Produced by Heaven Hill, this straight bourbon is named after Evan Williams, who opened Kentucky's first distillery in 1783. You get dark caramel, sweet oak, and charred wood on the nose. The palate is lush and spicy with notes of honey, apple, and orange. Thanks to its modest proof, the finish is long, graceful, and relaxed. Since 2022, this bourbon is only sold in Kentucky.

Best Low Proof Bourbon. Change My Mind.

This is one my favorite bourbons and I was sad when it became allocated. I used to get these for under $30 but like so many great bottles, the past is the past. IMO this and Old Forester are the best bourbons out there under 90 proof. I find this an easier sip than white label, which is still a great value, but can sneak up on you and deliver a wicked hangover. Great to find a new supply. Thank you TSR.
