It was distilled and aged for 5 years in Clermont, Kentucky, in bespoke barrels. According to thebrand, it delivers "warm toffee sweetness on the palate without overshadowing the unique, bready taste of American barley."

Leave it to Beam to get American Single Malt right

This isn't the best single malt I've ever had but for a 5 year, it's damn good. Extremely approachable and a great bridge for people who only drink bourbon. Lots of chocolate and malty notes plus a touch of vanilla and spice bourbon drinkers will find familiar. The finish on is is quite long. Tip of the hat to Jim Beam. This bottle will change a lot of minds about single malt.
