La Gritona is crafted by Melly Barajas at her distillery in Valle de Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico. Made with sustainably grown highland agave aged 8–10 years, the tequila is slow-cooked in brick ovens, naturally fermented with ambient yeasts, and double-distilled in small pot stills. Aged for 8 months in reused American oak barrels, it features notes of caramelized fruit, ginger, and pepper, offering a balanced and complex profile without additives or heavy barrel influence.
