Barrel Camp Was A Big Hit

Taste Select Repeat hosted our first ever Barrel Camp last month and it was a huge success. 

People travelled from Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina, New York and New Jersey on January 14th to learn the ropes and pick two barrels of rye whiskey at the New York Distilling Co. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.   

After a quick tasting tutorial courtesy of OJ Lima, Kymi Lander-Douglas and Tim McKee, 12 barrels were sampled, featuring a mash bill of 15% Rye, 13% Corn, both from New York, and 12% Malted Barley. 

The winning barrels were 960 (7 years, 8 months and 6 days) and 944 (8 years, 3 months and 29 days). Both will be bottled at 115 proof and available at a later date.
