Lawyers Learn About Whiskey At The CYOC Conference
OJ Lima was a guest at the 23rd annual Charting Your Own Course Career Conference (CYOC) at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. Hosted by Stakeholders, a business training and consulting company, CYOC focuses on career development for professionals of color.
Taste Select Repeat hosted 40 lawyers for cocktails and a blind tasting at the Fairways Pub, the clubhouse located at the 18th hole of the hotel's golf course. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club is the home of the PNC Championship, and features a world-renowned course designed by Greg Norman.
The event kicked off with a barrel-aged Manhattan crafted by Deniz Suuctugu, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. After cocktails, Lima led a blind tasting of whiskeys including Jack Daniel’s, Michter’s 10 Year bourbon, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Maker’s Mark and Buffalo Trace. The event concluded with a spirited Q&A and a history lesson on the Bottled-In-Bond Act of 1897.
